Today we’re excited to announce that Locale has raised a $14 Million Series Seed Round, led by Andreessen Horowitz, to continue expanding our curated food delivery approach.

Two years ago, my best friend Chris and I had just graduated college and were struggling to figure out if our conventional corporate jobs were what we really dreamed of. We both had the itch to do something more impactful and community-oriented. We took a leap and started Locale.

Our mission is to empower small businesses to expand their reach and create amazing food experiences for consumers, regardless of where they live. By expanding their delivery radius to 300+ miles, we help our partners draw in a meaningful customer base. It's been a tumultuous few years for restauranteurs and we've found strong enthusiasm from our partners for increased sales and enhanced brand reach through Locale.

Over the next few years, we’ll continue to grow and improve the vendor, customer, and driver experiences in our existing markets in the Bay Area and Los Angeles. We’ll launch new markets in San Diego and elsewhere, while continuing to support restaurants and maintain an exclusive, curated platform for consumers. We’ll grow new product lines like Locale Explorer, allowing foodies in the Bay Area to order food from famous Los Angeles eateries and vice versa for just a $5 delivery fee.

In a world full of choice overload, we’re confident that Locale will continue providing an amazing, curated food delivery experience.
